General Information
SPECIFIC TRIP INFORMATION & LOGISTICS
Trip rates include guided oar/paddle boats, U.S. Coast Guard Approved flotation vests, waterproof bags, safety instructions, wilderness interpretation, deluxe meals, van shuttle service from the meeting place to the river and back, a donation to a river conservation group, as well as all government access fees, taxes, and early season wet-suit rental fees.
On the Main Tuolumne, six (6) or more rafters receive 5% off the regular rates. Twelve (12) or more rafters receive Special Group Rates (10%-15% off).
Please phone our office to reserve space on a trip. We will hold your space for 7 days and upon receipt of your deposit, will consider it confirmed.
A deposit of $100 per person is required to confirm your reservation. Full payment is due 60 days prior to the trip. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover.
Upon receipt of your deposit we will send you written confirmation and information including logistics, gear list, map, meeting place and lodging. Also included will be forms for noting your dinner entree choice(s) and paddle or oar boat preference.
We gladly rent sleeping bags, pads, and tents:
- Camp Kit Rental (sleeping bag and liner, self-inflating pad, tarp)
2 days $15 / 3 days $25- Tent Rental (large, two-person dome tent)

$50 per person of your payment is non-refundable. The balance will be refunded provided that written cancellation is received in our office at least 45 days prior to your trip. No refund will be made after this date unless we resell your space or you find a substitute. Occasionally we may be forced to cancel trips due to unusual weather conditions, major storms or insufficient reservations. In these cases you receive a full refund.
We recommend travel insurance and will send information and application forms upon request.
Sierra Mac River Trips has an excellent safety record and makes every effort to safeguard you and your belongings. Because any outdoor experience involves risk, you will be required to sign a liability release and assumption of risk agreement before your trip.
Sierra Mac is privileged to be recreation service partners with: Bureau of Land Management, United States Forest Service and California Department of Parks and Recreation. We operate under special use permits on a non-discriminatory basis.
