This rafting season offered its share of rafting excitement. Our guests experienced excellent flows on the Merced, Tuolumne and Cherry Creek. High water hit around Memorial Day when the Main Tuolumne peaked at around 8000 cfs. As summer progressed, upstream reservoirs provided ample flows for trips through Labor Day weekend. The 100th Anniversary of the National Parks brought many visitors to Yosemite, including President Obama, Michelle and their two daughters, who borrowed a couple of Sierra Mac rafts for their visit over Father’s Day weekend.
This video compilation captures some of this year’s whitewater action action. It includes some footage taken from inside the rafts using GoPro cameras combined with some still images and video footage taken from shore by Rapid Shooter Photographers. You can view more photos from this season on this page.
