Looking for an active outdoor vacation that is away from the crowds?
Sierra Mac is hosting two exclusive multisport adventure trips this August in the wild and scenic Tuolumne River canyon. Join us for 2 or 3 days of fun starting August 10th and August 24th. These guided Tuolumne Multisport adventures begin on Wednesday morning with a refreshing swim and a guided hike down the South Fork of the Tuolumne river to its junction with the Middle Fork. This trail follows a series of small cascades on the South Fork as it drops into the canyon. Arrive at the Main Tuolumne, eat lunch, and spend that afternoon and evening stand up paddle boarding on the river near our put-in spot. Warm up on Meral Pool and paddle thru some mild rapids downstream to our camp below Rock Garden where your gear will be waiting. Enjoy a delicious riverside dinner prepared in camp by our guides and a night camped under a million stars. Wake up to the sound of the river and the smell of coffee and our guides preparing breakfast. After breakfast, pack your bag and embark on your choice of a 1 or 2-day rafting trip down the Tuolumne River, an 18 mile journey through a wild & remote wilderness canyon studded with exciting rapids including the exciting Class IV+ Clavey Falls.
These 2 and 3-day all-inclusive guided multisport adventures include your guide, all necessary equipment, and meals. All you need to bring is your personal gear, an appetite for adventure, and energy to burn. The moderate 2-mile hike down into the Tuolumne canyon along the South Fork is a perfect warm-up for your stand up paddling experience and the day or two of paddling the Tuolumne that will follow. Trips meet at Casa Loma at 8:30am, No previous paddling experience is required. If you are a beginner, our guides will have you up and paddling in no time.
Multisport trips depart on August 10th and August 24th, 2016.
