Are you tight on time and looking for a day trip? You can book a hotel or campsite in Yosemite Valley and make the short drive down to the Merced River for a single or half-day of rafting. Bachelors and bachelorettes will enjoy the Merced’s big rolling wave trains and sparkling rapids. Single day trips take you down Ned’s Gulch, Cranberry Hole, and the infamous Percolator. There are numerous hotels, restaurants and campgrounds in the area, enough to accommodate any size group. But plan ahead, the Merced is only raftable for a window during spring and early summer.

Is your bachelor party a bunch of thrill seekers who are ready to go the distance? Our Cherry Creek/Upper Tuolumne trip is one of the most exciting class V rafting trips in the US. Sierra Mac pioneered this section of river in the 1980’s and our seasoned pro guides know it better than anyone. We’ll give your group a thrill they won’t forget and bring them back to tell the story. This rocky stretch is good practice for any marriage.
Maybe you want something just a little more mellow. Our Tuolumne rafting trips offer 18 miles of remote scenic wilderness canyon with incredible scenery punctuated by some of California’s most exciting Class IV-V rapids. Paddle into this designated Wild & Scenic river canyon and leave the rest of the world behind. Enjoy a savory lunch at some hidden riverside beach and spend the night with your closest friends under more stars than you ever knew existed. Bring your favorite beverages and our guides will pack them carefully for camp. After paddling hard all day and enjoying dinner and dessert prepared and served by our guides you’ll enter new realms of sleepy wonder. Enjoy it, wedding planning can be a little hectic.
Think big, this is a time to cherish. You can combine Cherry Creek with the Tuolumne for an extended 2- or 3-day rafting adventure. And groups are eligible for discounts.
Main Tuolumne and Cherry Creek-Upper Tuolumne Rafting trips meet just outside Yosemite’s Northwest Big Oak Flat Entrance, near the town of Groveland. There are several excellent lodging options, and a few campgrounds, some with group sites, located in this corridor. But book early, especially for peak season.
